Rock Chick Reawakening Wait Is OVERRRRR!

Kristen Ashley has a winning rock star with Rock Chick Reawakening! If you’ve been waiting for Rock Chick Reawakening by Kristen Ashley then you’re wait is OVER!! Is the “Buy” button taunting you? Are the running shoes giving you a mocking look? Well, you shut that nonsense down! Pull the trigger or lace em up, and get your very own Rock Chick Reawakening!

By now, I am sure you are all aware of Kristen Ashley‘s Rock Chick Series and, I agree with you all, that it is one of the best romance series out there! It feels like I have been waiting for forevers to get my hands on Rock Chick Reawakening (I re-read the series to get my “honey bunches of oats” fix) therefor I was sooooo happy that Kristen Ashley out did herself with Daisy and Marcus! I will keep this review short but it will difficult because of its sheer awesomeness.

Alright, alright, enough of my praises, I will get Rock Chick Reawakening by Kristen Ashley show on the road here! As always, grab the latte, favourite nibbling chocolate, park the tushy and I shall proceed with my Rock Chick Reawakening review now!

Rock Chick Reawakening’s “Love”

Rock Chick Reawakening is told in duel of point of view with our heroine, Daisy, and our Hero, Marcus which a little different from most of her other Rock Chick books. As we know, Daisy was a stripper before Marcus became a part of her life and she was one heck of stripper at that! Daisy catches the attention of Marcus during a practice show and little does she know but Marcus is making his way into her life before she even knows it. Now, that’s not to say that Daisy doesn’t notice Marcus but she rights him off as a ‘best keep away from all that handsome trouble’ and goes about her way. Daisy endures a brutal attack and this changes her life drastically in a split second and this brings Marcus barreling into her life and he plans to make himself a permanent fixture in it……

whether she’s ready for it or not.

Rock Chick Reawakening’s “Honey Bunches Of Oats”

Marcus wasn’t at all what I expected in Rock Chick Reawakening. I thought he’d be this arrogant, broody, hard edged, hunk of gorgeousness but that turned out to not be the case….at least not with Daisy that is. Marcus sees Daisy just once (like all of our Kristen Ashley Heroes! Those men know what they want!) and knows that she will be his; no if’s/and’s/or but’s, about it. Ever the strategic man that Marcus is, he doesn’t pursue Daisy right away for personal reasons. But then Daisy’s attack happens and Marcus finds that he faces a whole new set of challenges when it comes to making Daisy his.

Sometimes all a challenge needs is patience and Marcus lives by that very thing.

My Final Thoughts On Rock Chick Reawakening?

I’ve got nothing but all goodness and unicorns and rainbows when it comes to my opinion of Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick Reawakening!

I will be honest, I did have a few reservations before I started Rock Chick Reawakening, not enough to just hit the “buy” button but they were there. The first being that it is advertised as a novella and we all know I tend to shy away from those. And the second being that I found some of Kristen Ashley’s books as of late to have not quite hit the mark. Some being more lengthy than I found they needed to be. They’re not bad books by any stretch but they just didn’t hit it out of the park as they did with the Rock Chicks. I think with Rock Chick Reawakening being a “novella” it made it that Kristen Ashley had to make the most of those words she can expertly put out. This, in my opinion, resulted in a quick moving contemporary, erotic romance book without what I like to call “fluff”.

Another thing that hit the mark was while we did know Marcus and Daisy from other books, Kristen Ashley made me feel like they were brand spanking new characters. We are privy to a slew of new little bits that only added to the characters that we knew previously. She only enhanced the characters that we already somewhat knew and loved.

I looooved how Daisy’s struggle with the attack didn’t break her (because it sure could have) and I adored Marcus for his patience and support with her. He nudged when she needed it and Daisy, even though she bawked-which I also loved-, realizes that the nudge was needed. The sweetness that they both have (I really didn’t think I would ever be saying that about Marcus) is just…..well sweet. Rock Chick Reawakening gave me that, “awww, this is so nice” feeling and somehow Kristen Ashley didn’t make it over the top sweet either!

Nowwww, for the goods! Yes, there is erotic, smutty, sexy smexy times, and hooo ditty!, Kristen Ashley has the fidgeting factor up there! I will say though that what I found to be quite different is the alpha shown in these moments. Marcus again, just wasn’t what I was expecting and it was a refreshing surprise.***Ha! And just because I’m evil like this, I am not telling you anymore about that!***

I’m sure you’ve deduced from my Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chick Reawakening review  that it has made it on my ‘re-read’ shelf right beside all my other Rock Chick books! Kristen Ashley has done it again with Rock Chick Reawakening and I absolutely adored it! So with all that being said….well, in the words of Daisy, “my honey bunches of oats” I can’t say much more than that! Kristen Ashley you totally rocked it with Rock Chick Reawakening!!!

    Hi Maggie!
I’m glad you liked the review! I most certainly can do some reviews on the Rock Chick Series. I’ve read the whole series but it was some time ago so I’m gonna have to refresh myself on them, lol, so it may be a little bit for me to get them out.

As for my thoughts on Kristen Ashley’s bks? Well, I will say that there are some that have been misses for me and that I have found her older books to have hit the marks more than her recent stuff. Now that’s not to say that her recent stuff is complete rubbish cause it’s not at all but I’ve found that her style of writing has changed quite a lot over the last couple of years.
I prefer her style of writing with her books from 7-8 yrs ago vs her more recent books but I strongly believe that’s a personal preference thing.
I’ll do some reviews on both, some that really hit the mark and some that didn’t and hopefully that can give you a bit of an idea 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping in Maggie!

Loved this review! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this bk since I haven’t read anything from the Rock Chick series and thought I would be totally lost but that wasn’t the case.

Will you be reviewing anything from her Rock Chick series? I’ve heard this author can be a hit or miss-your thoughts on that note?
