Top 5 Romance Favourites You Ask?

I have been asked on more than one occasion, “what are your favourite romance novels to read?” or “which ones do you continuously go back to?”.

Well, it’s not quite that simple. It all depends on what I’m feeling in the mood for, sometimes I’m gravitating towards the paranormal romance, or a nice light read. There’s times where I’m just in the mood for a real moral compass bender or just a top notch contemporary romance.

Here’s my top 5 in a number of sub genre’s and the books aren’t listed in any particular order. It’s a matter of how I’m feeling as to which I’ll pick up.

Paranormal Romance (Vampire/Witch/Angels/Demons/Were/Shapeshifters/Fae)

  1. Into The Darkness (Darkness Series) by K.F. Breene
  2. Braving The Elements (Darkness Series) by K.F. Breene
  3. Deadly Beauties Series by C.M. Owens
  4. Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins
  5. Until The Sun Falls From The Sky by Kristen Ashley

Contemporary Romance

  1. The Wall Of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
  2. Kulti by Mariana Zapata
  3. Under Locke by Mariana Zapata
  4. How To Date A Douchebag – The Studying Hours by Sara Ney
  5. Falling For My Husband by Pamela Ann

Romantic Comedy

  1. Wallbanger by Alice Clayton (I will say that this may be my #1 in this sub genre)
  2. Perfection (Neighbor From Hell Series) by R.L. Mathewson
  3. Breaking Even (The Sterling Shore Series) by C.M. Owens
  4. Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley
  5. Decker’s Wood by Kirsty Dallas

Romantic Suspense

  1. King Series by T.M. Frazier
  2. Surviving Raine by Shay Savage
  3. Silver Swan (The Elite Kings) by Amo Jones
  4. Blackwood by Celia Aaron
  5. The Beautiful People (The Mafia Trilogy) by E.J. Fechenda (whole trilogy)

There you have it My Lovelies! These are my go-to books when I’ve found myself in a book funk and just need something I know I’ll love!

Thanks for commenting E.J. Fechenda! I’m not gonna lie, I totally fan-girl’d when I seen your comment, lol 😉

    Hi Alicia!

I WILL be doing a review on Under Locke. I got a few other requests, read a few other books so I got a little side tracked, lol. I’ll do my best to get that out as soon as possible for ya.

Yeah, I have to agree, it is really refreshing to have all the characters make an appearance in each book. And they’re not ‘all up in your face’ kind of appearance. Mariana has a subtleness and graceful flow to all of her books.

Thanks so much for stopping in to chat with me Alicia 🙂

    Have a good one!

    Great list Amanda!

I’m like you and LOVE Mariana Zapata! I’ve read every single one of her books and loved them all! I love how all her books intertwine together. I wasn’t expecting that and it was so cool when Dex and Iris made an appearance in Kulti!
Will you be doing a review on Under Locke?
Even though I’ve read it I’d love to hear your thoughts and perspective on it!

    Hi Ally!

Yeah, she is one of my all time favs and I think a bit of that has to do with it is that she writes from the Hero’s POV most times which is one of my favourite POV’s. Just refreshing to see it from the mans POV and Shay does a wicked awesome job of writing from that POV!

She does have a couple of heroine POV’s but, personally, I love her Hero POV’s and feel she really shines as an author with them.

Lol, yeah, it was pretty hard to narrow it down. Like anyone, your mood and what your feeling like always play a big part in which ‘go-to’ you’ll gravitate to.

Thanks for stopping in to chat Ally! Let me know what you think of Shay Savage if you get a chance to read her 🙂

I’ve never even heard or read anything from shay savage.
I’ll have to check her out!

I’ve always been interested in a bloggers top books or authors that they go back to since they’ve read and read so many. I don’t think I could ever narrow it down! Lol

    Thanks for sharing Amanda 🙂
